Rainbow Bridge
January 23, 2023

Building things is an important learning stage for young children, instilling a deep understanding of gravity, aesthetics, architecture, and the STEM connections between all three.

Children learn based on the principles shown in their toys. Chitrani Planks encourage children to learn about the inherent power of the mathematic ratio and its application to architecture. What falls down and why? How many stacked blocks equals one block on its end? What can be made, and how can it be made more stable? Your child will learn not only about building but how to build well with sound architectural methods that will give them a permanent boost in math and science during their later school years.

Here we will get an idea about building a Rainbow bridge with Chitrani Planks. This building design is ideal for kids aged 6+ Years.

Step 1

First, we start placing 6 planks on each side vertically on the edge side with a gap of around 1.5 plank thickness between each plank. You need to keep a distance of 15 planks thickness between both sides.

Step 2

Now first we put planks horizontally on the first layer and repeat the first step again but this time second layer we will offset by approx. 10 mm inside from both ways.

Step 3

Repeat the process until 4th layer.

Step 4

5th and 6th layers of vertical planks, we will offset 20 mm inward (equal to the thickness of 2 planks).

Step 5

Our Bridge is almost complete. You can carefully make an arch on top by simply adding a couple of layers in the center.

Playing with Chitrani planks requires precise hand and finger movements, which helps to develop and improve fine motor skills.
